Equipment rental – The Smart Plan

An Origin Telecom Smart Plan allows you to rent without having to commit vital working capital up front on business equipment that may shortly become obsolete, will depreciate quickly and have little or no resale value.

Unlike a loan or finance lease, our Smart Plan rental agreement does not appear on your balance sheet as a liability. The monthly rental payments are treated as an operating expense and are usually 100% tax deductible.

The Smart Plan gives you the options at the end of the rental term to:

• Upgrade to the latest technology by entering a new Smart Plan rental agreement
• Return the equipment with no residual obligation
• Offer to purchase the equipment at the price negotiated with the finance company (rental agreement holder)
• Continue to rent the equipment – rental amount renegotiable
